Pegaso Comet: history and specs

The Pegaso 1090, the first variant of the Comet launched on the market, meant to Spanish freight transport what the SEAT 600 meant to the automotive industry: two practical, simple, reasonably priced vehicles that arrived on the market at just the right time.

It's practically impossible to attend a classic transport vehicle gathering today without seeing at least one Pegaso Comet.

This truck, manufactured by ENASA from the mid-1960s until well into the 1970s, filled a huge gap when goods were still being transported in old vehicles that had survived the Spanish Civil War and even in animal-drawn carts.

The Pegaso 1090 was a modern, economical, medium-duty truck that would prove to be remarkably reliable over time.

and truly outstanding durability. This not only benefited the economy of transport companies more than half a century ago, by providing them with a cost-effective vehicle to work with for many years, but has also allowed numerous Pegaso Comet units to reach us in good condition.
